Ofsted Success!

Our recent non-graded Ofsted Inspection report shows that we have maintained the standards from our previous graded inspection, when the school was judged to be ‘good’ overall.

Ofsted also acknowledged the significant changes we have implemented recently and the positive impact of these, including pupils’ improved behaviour and attendance.

I hope that you will find time to read the report in full, however I have outlined some of the highlights directly from the report below:

  • Everyone is welcomed into the school and are valued for who they are.
  • Pupils feel safe here. They know that staff care about them.
  • Pupils respect staff and lessons are calm. This helps all pupils get on with their learning without distractions.
  • Pupils achieve well and are well prepared for secondary school.
  • The school has created a well-organised and ambitious curriculum.
  • Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the support they need to access the same ambitious curriculum as their peers.
  • The school has a well-thought-out personal development programme. Pupils take on roles of responsibility, such as being reading ambassadors and play leaders.
  • Staff feel listened to and included in the school’s improvement journey.
  • The trust understands the school well and provides effective support to drive improvements.
  • The governors have a thorough understanding of the school. They prioritise the right areas at the right times, always considering the pupils’ best interests.

We will of course be using this report to build on all we have achieved, always striving to provide the best learning experience possible for every child as well as supporting all our staff to the best of our abilities.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support, which is greatly appreciated and helps us to uphold our core values: ‘Ready; Respectful; Resilient and Safe’.
