Chesterton Primary School Clubs

A variety of clubs run by Chesterton Staff throughout the week before school from 8am -8:30am and after school from 3.15pm - 4.15pm during term time. These clubs are available to book via the Arbor Parent Portal when released at the end of each term. For further information please speak to the school office.

iRock - Join a Rock band!

The iRock programme is designed to be totally inclusive; children can join regardless of their musical experience or ability. Weekly 30-minute band sessions happen within the school day. Band members are grouped by similar ages and year groups. Band sizes are capped at nine to ensure everyone receives the very best learning experience. Through consistent band practice, the children develop real-life skills including collaboration, listening, patience, teamwork and initiative. All instruments are supplied by the company.

Piano Lessons

Playing the piano is a creative experience that everyone can enjoy from the first lesson onwards. The aim is to make lessons fun and engaging, recognising that every child learns in a different way and at a different rate. Lessons are taught from Year 2 onwards and are on either Monday or Friday during the school day. Your child will need easy access to a piano or touch-sensitive keyboard for practice.
