What we will offer...

Children are picked up from their classrooms and taken to the Purple hall. A nutritious snack will be on offer for the children when they arrive. As we have use of facilities within the school and outdoor areas, we can offer a wide range of activities including daily art and craft activities, quiet area, outdoor sports and games and lots more.

Our staff are all qualified to high standards and trained in safeguarding, first aid, DBS checked as well as in many other areas of play work and childcare.

Cambridge United 

Cambridge United will be delivering a number of clubs this term, more details to follow but these are  a fantastic opportunity for our children to enhance their sports skills, engage in teamwork, and enjoy physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.

The clubs have a capacity of 16 children, and we require a minimum of 10 participants for the sessions to go ahead. This is a wonderful chance for our youngsters to learn from experienced coaches and improve their abilities.

Chesterton Primary School Clubs

A variety of clubs run by Chesterton Staff throughout the week after school from 3.15pm - 4.15pm during term time. These clubs are available to book via the Arbor Parent Portal when released at the end of each term. For further information please speak to the school office.

iRock - Join a Rock band!

The iRock programme is designed to be totally inclusive; children can join regardless of their musical experience or ability. Weekly 30-minute band sessions happen within the school day. Band members are grouped by similar ages and year groups. Band sizes are capped at nine to ensure everyone receives the very best learning experience. Through consistent band practice, the children develop real-life skills including collaboration, listening, patience, teamwork and initiative. All instruments are supplied by the company.

Piano Lessons

Playing the piano is a creative experience that everyone can enjoy from the first lesson onwards. The aim is to make lessons fun and engaging, recognising that every child learns in a different way and at a different rate. Lessons are taught from Year 2 onwards and are on either Monday or Friday during the school day. Your child will need easy access to a piano or touch-sensitive keyboard for practice.
