The children in Year 5 are in Hawthorn Class and their class teacher is Mr Dowell. Mr Ward supports the children in the morning and Miss Clilverd supports them in the afternoon.
In Hawthorn Class we like to aim high in all areas of our learning so that every child can achieve their full potential. Although we work really hard, we still make time to enjoy each other’s’ company and you will always hear laughter coming from Hawthorn Class.
The learning in Year 5 is organised in such a way that the children have lots of input into their learning experiences. We follow Talk for Writing in English lessons, White Rose in Maths and reading taught with whole class guided reading. The children in Year 5 very much enjoy understanding where they are.
